Certain companies would hire traditional hourly rate employees and have them knock on doors and switch energy providers from the encumbant to the reseller. This sounds really good in theory, but wait… what if the current rates drop? Well, this is where some folks have come in and said that these type of schemes or ways are scams or frauds. Because if the natural gas rates plummet, the customer is stuck at the flat rate.
